In Spring, the Southwest is a kaleidoscope of color as far as the eyes can see, from rose-colored deserts to earth-toned mesas and to snow-white peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Here, in the southern-most range of the Rocky Mountains, late-spring bloomers, butterflies and living art dot the landscape everywhere.
The broad, semiarid plains that cover the southern portion of the Southwest are distinquished by flowering yuccas and green desert grasses. And, in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, the night-blooming flowers of the Saguaro make their debuts. Spring is a time of celebration!
